After struggling through the second half of November and early December, Powassan's victory over the Sturgeon Falls Lumberjacks yesterday evening was a huge morale boost to the club. A high-scoring 8-6 victory on the road has Powassan back in the win column.

The duo of Jan Smid and Jakub Pejsa were a force to be reckoned with. Smid was scoring the goals (3g, 0a) and Pejsa was setting him up (0g, 4a). They were named first and second stars respectively.

Martin Klempa and Vladimir Alferov each had two points (1g, 1a) for the Eagles. Henderson, Choc and Sollman notched singles in the match as well.

The extended road trip wraps up with a game against the Shelburne Red Wings next Friday (Dec 13). The Red Wings are sitting at the bottom of the standings, winning just one game all season.
