Islanders Win First Game

The Parry Sound Islanders have started the season on the right foot. The Islanders defeated the Sturgeon Falls Lumberjacks 7-2 yesterday evening.

Parry Sound opens the season with a two game road trip -- the first was in Sturgeon Falls while the club heads to Toronto to play the Attack next Tuesday.

First star of the game was goaltender Frankie McClendon with a 28 save performance. Jaroslav Janeba had a four point performance (2g, 2a) earning second star of the game honours. Other goal scorers included: Latimer, Leach (2) and Robinson (2).
