Feb 27, 2013

The Powassan Eagles are happy to announce the NOJHL North Bay Trappers’ Junior 'A' Hockey Club has acquired forward C.J. Nicholson for the 2013-2014 season.

C.J began the year with the Milton Ice Hawks in the OJHL, and has since tallied 15 goals and 16 assists for 31 points in 30 games, in the GMHL with the Eagles. Coach Gary Astalos went on to say, “We are very pleased with the progress CJ has made this season, since joining the club. We feel that he will be a great fit with the Trappers organization, whom have scouted a number of our games this season.”

Nicholson has also extended his appreciation to the Eagles as he said, “I am grateful that I was a part of the Eagles this year, I have been given a great opportunity to improve and develop with the Eagles and it has paid of in helping myself get to the next level in junior hockey. We have a great group of guys and the coaching staff has really helped me develop as a player. I also feel that since moving into the (MAK) Academy, I have been able to enhance my performance on the ice, as I was able to train in the gym and fitness center for daily off-ice training. I very much look forward to making the next step to the NOJHL and helping the North Bay Trappers next season”
