Three All-Stars from Parry Sound

Dec 19, 2016

The Parry Sound Islanders will be represented by three players at the 2017 GMHL All-Star game. Goaltender Filip Grancarov and forwards Matyas Mach and Valtteri Makiviinikka will be proudly wearing the Islanders crest at the All-Star game.

It comes as no surprise that Finnish superstar Makiviinikka and his 69 points, including 37 goals, is picked to represent the Islanders. As the top point getter on the club, and near tops of the league wide leader boards, Valtteri will be a strong representative for the game.

Young Czech goalie Grancarov continues to build an impressive resume in his first North American season. Manning the pipes for the North Division's Islanders with a 2.70GAA and .911 save percentage,  Filip is impressing through the early going.

Second year veteran Matyas Mach has 18 points in 25 games and will be entering his first all-star game. At just 17 years of age, Mach will be one of the youngest allstars in the GMHL.
