The Parry Sound Islanders have started the year with two victories, both over their rival Seguin Huskies. The Islanders have dominated through two matches, winning both times in double didget scores.

Leading the pack has been Finnish forward Valtteri Makiviinikka. Valtteri is leading the GMHL with 12 points in his first two games, including 8 goals.

Right behind him is Ben Linna, who has 10 points and 5 goals of his own.

Balanced scoring right through the lineup has been the true reason for Parry Sound's success. 10 different Islanders potted goals through the first two games.

A much tougher stretch of games is ahead for Parry Sound, including a home game hosting the Temiscaming Titans Sunday at Bobby Orr Arena. Puck drop is 8:30pm.
