The Parry Sound Islanders have completed their best season to date. Following a Game 5 nail biter against the top seeded South Muskoka Shield yesterday evening, the Islanders have ended their season.

Parry Sound ends the year with their heads held high. After a few tough seasons, the Islanders worked hard this year to earn the reputation as a top club in the GMHL and proved it on the ice.

The five game battle against the Shield was a war. It came down to a 3-2 final in game five in the second round of the Russell Cup Playoffs.

The organization is standing in the best position to date, under the guidance of a revamped front office.

All involved from President, right down through hockey operations and volunteers are proud of the strides we made and work has already begun on next season.
