May 21, 2013

The Powassan Eagles Junior "A" Hockey Club would like to announce the hiring of Scott Colosimo as head coach for the 2013-2014 season. Colosimo was most recently an assistant coach in the professional Federal Hockey League with the 1000 Islands Privateers. He has been with the team for a number of years as both a player and coach while working with numerous NHL draft picks and players.
Scott has also coached at the junior "A" level with the New York Gamblers and played his junior hockey with Schreiber Diesels of the SIJHL, the Vaudreuil-Dorion Mustangs of the QJAHL, and the Abitibi Eskimos of the NOJHL. The Montreal native plans on moving to Powassan this summer and is very excited about the opportunity.
"When looking to fill our head coaching void, we knew immediately that Scott is the right man for the job. With experience at the junior and professional level, we are really excited to have him start working with our players; it is sure to be an exciting season with Scott at the helm" stated team president Andy Palfrey.
The Powassan Eagles are currently recruiting players for the upcoming season. All interested players should contact coach Scott at info@powassaneagles.com.
