Islanders Pound Sharks

Nov 10, 2015

In one of the few cross over games, where the Parry Sound Islanders play a team outside of the North Division, the Islanders took down the Shelburne Sharks 11-4.

While it was another two points for the soaring Islanders, it was another statement from this club, showing they can defeat teams in the Central division.

It was a strong offensive showing from all parts of the lineup. Scoring two goals were three players for the Islanders: Scaringi, Vojtas and Mikulcak. Notching singles included Presheva, Pejsa, Jansson, Krotz and Obery.

Everette Calendine had the victory in goal with 25 saves.

The victory was much needed for the Islanders who were going through a mid-season drought. The club had lost 3 of the last 4 games prior to the Shelburne victory.

Next up on this three gmae home stand is the always strong Temiscaming Titans. The Titans are in town on Saturday, Nov. 14th for a 7:30pm puck drop.
