The Powassan Eagles franchise have relocated to Parry Sound, Ontario and will be known as the Islanders.

Looking forward, the club is excited to bring junior hockey back to the Parry Sound community. The Islanders have been welcomed with open arms and full support from the town's councilors.

There has been a void Parry Sound since the Shamrocks folded in 2002. The Shamrocks had previously competed in the OJHL and NOJHL.

The club will play out of Bobby Orr Community Centre

Continuing to lead the club will be Head Coach and GM Brandon Contratto.  Contratto coached the club while in Powassan and will be staying on board in Parry Sound.

Stay tuned as the Islanders will be launching their website within the week and announcing player signings soon.
