Islanders Continue Hot Streak

The Parry Sound Islanders are one of the hottest teams in the Greater Metro Junior A Hockey League, winning their last four matches. The latest victory coming over the Almaguin Spartans 6:5 in a home-town thriller.

Frankie McClendon was clutch between the pipes making 52 saves. Offensively, Karel Simek stepped up with a huge three point evening -- including the shootout game winning goal.

Also finding the back of the net included: Pejsa, Leach, Brezka, Presheva and Simek with the pair.

Parry Sound finds themselves deadlocked in a three team tie in the GMHL's Northern Division with Grey Highlands and Bracebridge. The Islanders will look to make it five straight and improve their 9-10-2 record.
