The Parry Sound Islanders went 1-1-0 through the first two home games of the season. A 10-4 victory over the Sturgeon Falls Lumberjacks Saturday was followed by a 3-1 loss against the Temiscaming Titans.

The Islanders broke out offensively with a deadly 10 goal game. Dan Leach led the way with a four point evening, including a hat trick. He was supported by local Stuart Thronton with three points (1g, 2a) of his own. Other goal scorers included: Sentensky (2), Bambers (2) and Blum (2).

Sunday, the powerhouse Temiscaming Titans were in town. The Islanders proved they can play amongst the best teams in the league, only falling 3-1 to the Titans. Parry Sound's lone goal scorer was Reines Bamber. Frankie McClendon played outstanding between the pipes for the Islanders aswell.

Looking forward, the club embarks on a three game road trip and won't return home until October 4th. Stay tuned to www.parrysoundislanders.com for all of the updates.
