High Scoring Game vs Knights

Feb 03, 2014

The Powassan Eagles took the expansion Knights of Meaford to the third period tied 4-4, but could not hold on eventually dropping the game 6-4 final.

Four different Eagles were able to find the back of the net: Mayorov, Sollman, Pejsa and Godin all had singles in the match. Goaltender Novysedlak did all he could to keep Powassan in the game.

Despite the loss, the club showed several signs that things are looking up for this development season. The Eagles core group of young talent has developed nicely this season and will aid Powassan next year.

Powassan has just three games remaining on the regular season schedule. Two of these games are on the road against Mattawa and Seguin, but their final home game is on February 15th when Powassan hosts the first place Seguin Huskies. Puck drop on the Saturday is 7:30pm.
