ISLANDERS TIED FOR FIRST PLACE

Oct 21, 2015

The Parry Sound Islanders continue to have their best season in franchise history. The club is riding a seven game win streak with the latest victory 7-6 over the Coldwater Falcons.

Josh Vaughan was the best forward on the evening pocketing two goals. It was a well rounded offence for Parry Sound with five other players scoring singles. In goal, Cody Dray had the victory with 22 saves.

The Islanders are running away in a close 4 team club that look like they will be battling for the divisional lead. Parry Sound, Almaguin, South Muskoka and Temiscaming are atop the North division each within a few points of each other. The fifth place team is already several points behind the leading four.

The Islanders will be back at home Sunday hosting the Bracebridge Blues. The club will be looking to win their eighth in a row with a 7:30pm puck drop at Humphrey Arena.
